Its Been a While

After a hectic, eventful (and productive!) 2018 and semi-2019 I felt its the right time to get back my blog back on track. Partly to share learnings I did and partly to keep my wandering mind in check as I explore further.

With the traction that Cloud tooling, Serverless architectures and Golang(all 3 being close to my heart) are getting I found that I need to maintain a strict process of exploring, documenting, validating and relearning (in that order) things. It is easy to get overwhelmed by the knowledge that the above communities are churning out.Hence it is essential to keep abstracting the learnings in a ledger.What better way to do that than resurrecting my derelict blog.

For the resurrection I decided to keep Hugo as the static site generator but apply a different theme.Hugo theme gallery has grown since the last time I skinned my blog.Exploring the theme library,I was came across this pretty neat theme cupper-hugo-theme which has got the pretty hot-in-demand Dark Mode feature.The theme comes with a toggle option which allows the reader to switch between the two modes.

I was itching to find out how to use Zeit Now in a real world scenario and decided to go ahead with it. Zeit now claims to be config-less and boy how they live up to the claim.Sign up was easy,adding a card was easier - deployment was the easiest!It is a fantastic platform and I am planning to explore (and document it) more.

I am pretty excited to re-embark on this journey and keep on writing regularly.
